Our World In Pictures (OWIP) was developed in 2009 by photographers Jeff and Christina Gora of Lexington, Kentucky. The program came to life after the two decided to combine their love for photography with their passion to teach, help, and serve others in need.

Jeff and Christina specifically designed OWIP as a photography mentorship program. Mentors and volunteers are continuously challenged to inspire, motivate, and encourage participants to photograph subjects that are meaningful to them. For some children, taking photographs of plants and animals will bring joy to their lives, while others find happiness photographing people. Whatever the subject, the hope of the program is to graduate participants who, as a result, have a newfound outlook on life, higher self-esteem, a greater confidence in themselves, a brighter hope for the future, and an experience that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Jeff and Christina are proud to be a part of OWIP and realize the potential that it has as a ministry, however, they also know that they are only a small portion of what it takes to complete even a single workshop. OWIP is only possible with the collaboration, commitment, and support of the mentors, volunteers, coordinators, partners, participants, friends, families, and finally, the community.

Thank you for making Our World in Pictures possible.
